My Caracas, the city where I was born, with the most beautiful mountains around her, embracing her, keeping her free of tornados, storms and hurricanes. The colonial part, sometimes abandoned to her luck, by the authorities that avoid their duty, fights for survival and remains with the charm of the old and the espectacularity of modernism. Caracas, long ago called the "red roofs city" due to the white houses with roofs of red tiles, it had a cool climat then, but today, the concrete structures have taken the place of trees and she has good warm climat instead all year long. There is a pervert contrast between the luxorious buildings and mansions and the poor shacks on the hills. The night view of the city tricks the eye with the little lights surrounding the valley, but by daylight that view becomes grotesque and sad.
