We have everything, yet.........

The hearts get heavy when we desire an impossible, we need money to survive, we buy precious little things we love, we ask for more and more. What have we made of this world? That must be the reason to punish humans more often with storms, earthquakes and floods, take everything away from them and see if they learn to live without frivolity.
We have everything, yet.....it seems we are blind, it seems we are deaf, we are so vain.
If we dress, because the weather and society persists we cover, then we have to dress like a magazine cover, if we have to eat in order to survive, we have to cook the most exotic dishes that we merelly can pay.Don't we have fruits of thousand flavours, fish and eggs, and exquisite titbits, milk and bread? We have the sea and rivers for us to bathe, happy animals that love to play, caves to hide, mountains to hike, the sun, the stars, the sky, and yet....the more we have, the more we get, the more we desire. Are we really animals with special brains? why then we do not live in satisfaction, but in an eternal wain of needs and yearnings?
It's just too late, we have to dress 'a la mode' we have to ride the latest car, we must live in luxury, and when we die, do we take with us the gold the bright? do we leave the tinsel here on earth?
Well no, the only things worthwhile for us to leave behind are the mementos of good deeds, the keepsakes of love and tenderness, and memories of happy moments in the minds and hearts of the ones that stay.
So, we have everything, and yet......
